I first started knitting when I was about 10 after getting a set of comically large needle from a family friend for my birthday. Since then my interest in it has only grown, and I love learning new techniques like cables (lowkey hate colourwork though).
I'm autistic and for me that's such an important part of how my interests develop.
I'm sure this theme comes across with my hobbies, but I'm very interested in textiles. The interest kind of evolved over the past few years, and then suddenly I turned around and realised it was definatly a special interest. I love how many different aspect this topic has: production, fashion history, sewing, weaving, and even philosophy! I can honestly talk about this for hours, and probably will on here.
